Insertec takes a new step towards a more environmentally friendly industry with the installation of solar panels at our headquarters in Basauri (Spain). It is estimated that the 620 units distributed on the roof, an area of 2000m2 that has been unused until now, will generate energy for self-consumption savings of 38%.
Including solar energy in our environmental protection strategy was an obvious decision. In addition to being inexhaustible and non-polluting, it does not generate greenhouse emissions, which makes it an excellent ally in the fight against global warming.
Solar energy will help us reduce our carbon footprint. However, the installation of panels is not only ecologically motivated. It is also an economic measure that will reduce our energy bills, thus limiting the impact of increased energy bills on our customers.
Moving towards a more environmentally friendly industry
Moving towards a more environmentally friendly industry is a responsibility that INSERTEC takes on as its own.
With the installation of solar panels at our headquarters, we expect to save 68 tonnes of emissions into the atmosphere per year, the equivalent of planting 215 trees.
This is an open project; depending on the monitoring data, it may be extended to the rest of the group’s plants.
