Our campaign, Al Infinitum, started in March at Mondragon University. We set students and staff the challenge of collecting, in one term, 2000 cans using 3 reverse vending machines that we installed, in collaboration with Reduxo and Brew and Roll in different parts of the centre.

Objectives achieved
We closed our campaign to raise awareness about aluminium recycling by overcoming the challenge we had set ourselves. But the success of this campaign is not only measured by the number of cans recovered.

Thanks to the installation and use of reverse vending machines, which is still very unusual, we managed to arouse the interest not only of the students, but also of the staff of Mondragon Unibertsitatea. We were able to give visibility to the aluminium recycling process and the importance of depositing the can in the correct container as a fundamental part of it.

But the success of this initiative is not only measured in terms of the number of cans recovered. Another objective was to strengthen the link between students and industry so that tomorrow’s profiles are prepared for what the sector demands.

Our participation in talks such as BPLDAY allowed us to make progress in this direction: we were able to publicise our company’s activities and come into contact with profiles that, we are sure, will help us to design the industry of tomorrow.
