Thermal Engineering Solutions
An electromagnetic coil (EMS) external to the furnace and attached to the hearth, generates an inductive field that allows the agitation of the liquid aluminum inside the furnace.
An advanced electromagnetic agitation system, formed by a flat induction coil, which is placed adjacent to the non-magnetic steel plate, and which forms part of the lower hearth of the furnace.
While melting aluminium, electromagnetic stirring is a technology that includes benefits that improve thermal and chemical homogeneity, higher productivity, lower energy consumption and lower generation of slag.
This EMS system provides the following advantages:
- Great Homogeneity of temperature and alloy.
- Reduction of slag formation, up to 50%.
- Reduction of energy consumption, up to 15%.
- Increases furnace productivity, up to 25%.
Special features:
- Reduced dimensions, weight and energy consumption.
- Low cost and high reliability.
- Adjustment power capacity 0-100%.
- Air cooled.
